Vs 20 - 21: The resurrection of Jesus and The Resurrection of The Dead

• firstfruits: Christ was the first to resurrect and never die again. Opens the floodgates for humankind to also become likewise!! History is changed

Vs 22 - 24: The Resurrection of The Dead and the reign of Christ

“For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭22‬-‭24‬ ‭ESV‬‬

• 22 There are just two groups - those who die and those who trust in Jesus!
• 23-24: a prophesied order of things. A brief history of everything!!

Vs 25 - 26: The reign of Christ and the destruction of death

“For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭25‬-‭26‬ ‭ESV‬‬

• the gene of death is hardwired into every son of Adam.
• death is the ultimate thing that makes all of our life achievements futile

Vs 27 - 28: The destruction of death and the end of the age

“For “God has put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when it says, “all things are put in subjection,” it is plain that he is excepted who put all things in subjection under him. When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that God may be all in all.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭27‬-‭28‬ ‭ESV‬‬

• God the son will joyfully submit everything that he has won to the everlasting rule of the father in heaven. Different roles, absolute equality.
